Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the Abuse family of services: Abuse Bot (abusebot.xyz),
Abuse Radio (radio.abusebot.xyz), Abuse Canary (our private
development/testing bot), and the Abuse Server (our official Discord support
server) together, "the Services." By using any of the Services, you agree to the practices
described below. Questions go to our support server.
01 Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the following, collectively "the Services":
- Abuse Bot - our main multi-purpose bot (music, moderation, economy, fun, and utility commands).
- Abuse Radio - our 24/7 genre-based radio bot for voice channels. It collects far less than Abuse Bot: mainly your configured voice channel and genre selection, with no moderation, economy, or message-content features.
- Abuse Canary - our private, invite-only development build used to test upcoming features before they reach Abuse Bot. It handles the same categories of data described in this policy, though feature availability may differ, and access is restricted to accounts we've approved for testing.
- Abuse Server - our official Discord support server bot. Messages, usernames, and activity you post there are visible to other members and moderators per Discord's own platform policies, in addition to anything collected by bots running in that server (including "the Services" itself).
Where a practice below applies to only one of the Services, we say so explicitly. Otherwise, assume it applies across all of them.
02 Data we collect
We only collect data that our features need to function. Depending on which commands and settings your server uses, this may include:
Account & server identifiers
- Discord user IDs, usernames, and discriminators
- Server (guild) IDs, channel IDs, and role IDs
- Avatar URLs, displayed back to you in commands like
/avatar or /profile
Message content
- Message content is read where a feature requires it for example, the SwearFilter, AntiLink, and AntiDiscordLink moderation filters, and CleverBot conversational replies. Abuse Radio does not read message content.
- Message content processed by these features may also be stored on our systems, rather than discarded immediately after processing.
Server configuration
- Abuse Bot & Abuse Canary: settings set via
/config, such as welcome/log/CleverBot channel assignments, staff and mute role IDs, prefix, custom embed colors, and moderation filter toggles.
- Abuse Radio: the voice channel and music genre you configure via
/config (voice-channel).
Moderation records
- Moderation actions taken through the bot (bans, kicks, mutes, purges) are logged as case records moderator, target user, reason, and timestamp so servers can look them up later with
/case. Abuse Radio does not have moderation features.
Economy & engagement data
- Abuse Coins balances, transaction history (
/pay, /gamble, /buy), leaderboard standings (/baltop), profile bios (/setbio), and giveaway entries.
Voting & premium status
- Vote timestamps from top.gg (used to grant voting rewards) and premium subscription status/expiry.
Third-party lookups
- Data requested via lookup commands (
/roblox, /stocks, /minecraft, /mcpe, /google, /translate, /play, /music) is sent to the relevant third-party service to fetch the result. We don't store the content of these queries beyond what's needed to return the result to you.
Technical data
- Basic operational data such as latency, uptime, and error logs across the Services, used for maintaining reliability.
We do not intentionally collect payment information, precise location, or the content of direct messages outside of commands you send to the bot.
03 How we use data
We use collected data to:
- Run the commands and features you or your server invoke music playback, economy, moderation, giveaways, welcome messages, and more
- Enforce server-level moderation settings your admins configure
- Maintain moderation case history for accountability within a server
- Track voting streaks and premium status to grant rewards
- Test upcoming features on Abuse Canary before releasing them to Abuse Bot
- Diagnose bugs and maintain uptime and performance across the Services
- Respond if you contact support or submit feedback via
/suggest
We do not sell user data, and we do not use message content or user data for advertising.
04 Data sharing
We share data only in these situations:
- Third-party APIs, when a command requires it Roblox, Minecraft server pings, stock data, Google search, translation services, and music sources. These providers receive only the specific query needed to fulfill the command.
- top.gg, to verify votes for the
/vote reward system.
- Legal requirements, if we're required to disclose information to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal request.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
05 Data retention
- Configuration, economy, moderation, and profile data are retained on our systems indefinitely, regardless of whether a bot remains in your server or is removed from it. Removing a bot from a server does not delete the data already associated with that server or its members.
- Moderation case records are retained to preserve a server's moderation history and are not automatically deleted.
- Message content processed by SwearFilter, AntiLink, AntiDiscordLink, and CleverBot may be stored on our systems and is retained under the same terms as other bot data described above.
- Abuse Radio configuration (voice channel, genre) is retained the same way as other server configuration data.
If you would like previously collected data deleted, contact us through our support server (see Section 10). Deletion is handled on a manual, case-by-case basis and is not automatic.
06 Your choices & rights
- Server admins can disable data-touching features at any time via
/config turning off SwearFilter, AntiLink, CleverBot, or welcome/logging channels on Abuse Bot or Abuse Canary.
- Users can request a copy of, or deletion of, their individually tied data (economy balance, profile bio, custom embed color) by contacting us through our support server. Shared records like moderation case history may be retained if deleting them would compromise a server's accountability trail, unless the server's admins request otherwise.
- Removing a bot from your server stops further data collection going forward, but does not delete data already collected see Section 5.
- Leaving the Abuse Server stops future collection of your activity there, subject to Discord's own retention of message history for remaining members.
- If you're located in the EU/UK, you may have additional rights under GDPR (access, correction, erasure, portability). California residents may have rights under the CCPA. Contact us via the support server to exercise these.
07 Children's privacy
The Services are intended for use in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service, which require users to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age beyond what Discord itself provides to bots and servers operating on its platform.
08 Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, such as access controls on our database and hosting infrastructure, but no system is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored by the Services.
09 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services change. Material changes will be announced in our support server. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
